On-call Contractors

ASC are currently looking for contractors who would be available for ‘on call’ positions between now and January 2018.

 

These positions may arise across Australia, so we will be taking interest from across the nation – predominantly, we are looking for Structures, Mechanical and Avionics AMEs, who would be interested and available for urgent requirements as they arise.

B1 Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineers

Aircraft Structural Contractors are currently seeking experienced B1 LAMEs for our aviation client based in Brisbane, QLD. This will be a contract position with a potential start between now and March 2018. This position will report to the SBE.

Requirements

  • Australian Citizenship/ Residency
  • B1 License (with proof of currency)
  • 737 Classic Ratings
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment Drug and Alcohol screen
  • Current Human Factors
  • Hold a current State Drivers’ Licence
  • Airside Driving Authority (category 4) highly advantageous
  • ASIC Card

Job Summary

  • Ensuring maintenance of aircraft is in accordance with the requirements of regulatory and manufacturer’s requirements
  • Ensure customers work packages are completed to the highest standards and in a timely manner
  • Coordinate all maintenance documentation at the completing of maintenance and where appropriately authorised, issue the relevant CRS
  • When delegated coordinate receipt and dispatch of aircraft flying the schedule.
  • Reporting the application and removal of MEL/CDL items when applicable.
  • Carrying out receipt, fueling, pre-flight and dispatch of aircraft in accordance with standard procedures in applicable manuals.
  • Performing any additional activities as directed by the SBE.
  • Must be able to provide proof of Aircraft Currency
  • Authorised LAMEs will, where required, provide supervision of AMEs and apprentices for whose work they will certify.
  • Read and acknowledge company Memos.
  • Ensure a high standard of housekeeping is maintained for effective FOD control.
  • Ensure tool box control procedures are adhered too for personal and company tooling.
  • Ensure all safety equipment is utilized at all times when required and report any non-conformances of these practices to the Shift Supervisor / Maintenance Manager
  • Carry out other duties requested by superior as required.

Aircraft Structural Contractors are currently seeking experienced B1 LAMEs for our aviation client based in Port Moresby, PNG. This will be a 5x week stint starting mid-October. This position will report to the Base Maintenance Manager.

Requirements

  • Valid Passport with 6x months validity
  • Current B1 License with Bombardier DHC-8-100/200/300 rating (no exclusions)
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment Drug and Alcohol screen
  • Current Human Factors
  • ASIC Card

Job Summary

  • Ensuring maintenance of aircraft is in accordance with the requirements of regulatory and manufacturer’s requirements
  • Ensure customers work packages are completed to the highest standards and in a timely manner

When possible aircraft shall be positioned on the tarmac ready for departure at least one hour prior to the scheduled departure time with ground power connected.   • Authorised AME must ensure his or her authorisation is current and valid for the work being performed

  • AME duties typically involve the following:
