Full time role located at Melbourne Maintenance Base

This role will see the Technical Officer support the Engineering business unit with technical issue investigations and resolution, regulatory compliance issues and the investigations of quality & safety issues. You will work on changes to compliance and production with having a continuous improvement attitude and output daily.

As a Technical Officer in the Component Maintenance Services department, typical duties will include supporting the department to ensure aircraft component compliance to latest approved data, communicating with OEM suppliers and internal Engineering teams on trouble-shooting of technical issues,  coordination of tooling and test equipment and continuous improvement activities.  

Position requirements; 

•         Working knowledge of CASA, and FAA regulations
•         Demonstrated ability to incorporate process and procedures to ensure compliance
•         Excellent communication skills both verbally and written
•         Ability to effectively communicate on all levels including management
•         Demonstrated experience in handling confidential and or sensitive information
•         Able to work effectively and cohesive in a team environment
•         Proven negotiation skills with the ability to persuade managers, supervisors and peers using logical and methodical and articulate technical language
•         Proficient in MS package
•         Engineering Degree in Mechanical or Aeronautical discipline, OR
•         Aircraft trade background, diploma or associate diploma level
