Aircraft Structural Contractors are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Watch – Technical Officer for our Client in Canberra, ACT.  

The Maintenance Watch – Technical Officer role holds primary responsibility for the logistics, as well as coordination, actioning and timely clearances of all deferred defects. Working closely with the Production Planning Group and Logistics, the role provides operational and logistical decisions on deferred defects and authorisation of courses of actions from a best for platform perspective.

Essential Requirements:

• Technical qualifications in an Aviation field (Minimum Cert IV)
• Knowledge of maintenance control systems and understanding of the regulations in relation to the maintenance of aircraft
• Proficient in MS office suite of tools (Excel, Word and Access primarily)
• Must be an Australian citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Defence security clearance to baseline Level

 Desired Requirements:

• Degree qualifications in relevant field and/or AME/LAME qualification
• Certifications in Project Management
• Working knowledge of a base/heavy maintenance environment

This position is for an immediate start in Canberra, ACT, and is full time for 3-4 months, with a possible extension.
