Aircraft Structural Contractors are recruiting for an Aircraft Aerospace Worker position based at RAAF Edinburgh, South Australia.

As an Aircraft Aerospace Worker you will be responsible for but not limited to basic aircraft service requirements including undertaking Depot Maintenance activities, aircraft wash and lubrication tasks, and trades assistant tasking activities. This includes support for aircraft and aircraft component maintenance activities.

This role involves the following key responsibilities:

• Completion of assigned tasks by undertaking a variety of activities, requiring the application of provided training.
• Provide assistance to and take directions from Aircraft Maintenance Engineers (AMEs) and support staff.
• Ensuring all maintenance tasks carried out are appropriately certified in the aircraft maintenance documentation.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate the following essential qualifications:

• Be physically fit and exhibit abilities to participate in aircraft depot maintenance activities.
• Be able to demonstrate an understanding of Quality Assurance procedures.
• Hold or be able to obtain a Defence Baseline Security Clearance
• Comply with the requirements of the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITARS)
• Be able to work in confined spaces and at heights
• Demonstrate a sound knowledge of Work Health and Safety procedures
• Hold a C class driver’s license

The following are desirable criteria associated with the position:

• Previous experience within an aircraft maintenance environment
• Hold a High Risk Work Licence for EWP and forklift
• Experience in hazardous waste management
• Come from a trade qualified background

This position is initially for six weeks.  Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet defence security requirements. Our Client has a COVID-19 Vaccination Policy in place which requires proof of being fully vaccinated from COVID-19, or have an approved medical exemption.
