Aircraft Structural Contractors are currently recruiting a specialist Aircraft Life Support Equipment Technician for new project in Nowra, NSW.  This program requires development and support of the Australian Navy and army joint helicopter school in their HATS program (Helicopter Aircrew Training system).

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance of HATS life support equipment in accordance with approved procedures.
• Manufacture, inspect, repair, test and fitting of aeronautical life support equipment and textile components.
• Procurement, packaging, storage and identification of safety and life support equipment.
• Identify and apply configuration requirements for planned activities.
• Explosive ordnance handling and inspection of rescue pyrotechnics.
• Deliver instruction on the operation of personal flying equipment.
• Provide training and safety briefs to aircrew and passengers on aeronautical safety and survival equipment.

Experience/Qualifications

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Certificate III in Aircraft Life Support and Furnishing – MEA30318 (or equivalent)
• Proficient in the use of maintenance management systems
• Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite
